cardboard engineering

This week in the blue peter corner we made…

This is a tool for working out ergonomic, made to measure seating, for Ergochair. It is designed for occupational therapists, to work out specifications of seating for their clients. It’s important that this piece is easy to use, with four independent sliders each representing a measurement, yet the whole piece must be able to be punched out and folded from one A2 sheet to give it a reasonable production cost. This was a challenge, and here you see a picture of the mock-up, now ready for print. We have a few projects on the go that include some cardboard engineering… tricky but fun!
